We would like to express our deepest appreciation to all of our Lampworking customers, artists and others who have supported our Lampworking Line this past decade. We will continue producing frit mixes, jars, and baggies.

Compatible Cullet Sources
Since Spectrum Glass in WA US has announced it is closing its operation there is some anxiety about future cullet supplies. There is talk of their cullet being made by other parties at the moment but nothing is definite. In the meantime Gaffer can recommend Cristalica 100 cullet as a substitute. We have measured it against our standard for thermal mismatch and have found it to be only very slightly higher in expansion. Our customers in Europe, who have used a wide range of Gaffer colour with the Cristalica 100, have reported no incompatibility problems.

Compatible Cullet Sources
Since Spectrum Glass in WA US has announced it is closing its operation there is some anxiety about future cullet supplies. There is talk of their cullet being made by other parties at the moment but nothing is definite. In the meantime Gaffer can recommend Cristalica 100 cullet as a substitute. We have measured it against our standard for thermal mismatch and have found it to be only very slightly higher in expansion.
